sunday reset.
the truth about discipline, faith, and staying in the fight.
i’ll be honest with you.
this week wasn’t perfect for me.
i had days where i didn’t feel like showing up.
days where my thoughts got louder than my actions.
days where i scrolled instead of built.
and for a minute, i started feeling guilty about it.
like i was slipping. like i wasn’t disciplined enough. like maybe i wasn’t “locked in” the way i preach.
but here’s what i realized…
discipline isn’t about never falling.
discipline is about getting up quicker each time you do.
because the truth is: everyone slips.
even the people you look up to. even the ones who seem unstoppable.
they fall. they mess up. they miss workouts, lose focus, give in to distraction.

the difference? they don’t stay down.
they catch themselves. they reset. they keep going.
the weight of waiting
i used to think if i messed up once, the whole week was wasted.
“i’ll start again on monday.”
but all that did was stack guilt and push me further away from the work i knew i had to do.
when i think about it now, that mindset was just procrastination disguised as discipline.
waiting for “perfect timing” when the truth is… perfect timing doesn’t exist.
faith taught me this:
God doesn’t ask us to be perfect.
He asks us to keep walking, even when it’s hard.
even when it’s messy.
sometimes the most powerful thing you can do isn’t to crush a full 10-hour workday.
it’s just to take one step forward when you don’t feel like it.
competition with yourself
i talk about competition a lot.
not in the sense of “beating everyone else.”
but in the sense of beating yesterday you.
today is sunday.
you have two options:
– let this week end with regret,
or
– reset today and go into monday already winning.
competition means holding yourself accountable.
asking the tough questions:
❏ did i use my time with intention?
❏ did i chase comfort instead of progress?
❏ did i honor the gifts God gave me?
and if the answer is no, don’t spiral. just reset.
compete with who you were yesterday, not with who someone else is today.
sunday reset (do this today)
here’s something simple i’ve been doing, and i want you to try it:
write down 3 wins from this week (big or small).
write down 1 lesson from a failure (no shame, just truth).
write down 1 non-negotiable for next week. (the one thing you WILL get done, no excuses).
that’s your reset. it’s not about overloading yourself with a million goals.
it’s about getting clear, cutting the noise, and competing with yourself in a way that’s sustainable.
don’t wait for monday to feel “ready.”
don’t wait for the perfect moment to start again.
start now. start today.
God’s not waiting for you to be flawless.
He’s waiting for you to move.
