- some people aren't what you think
some people aren't what you think
they show up to challenge you, for better or worse.

not everyone around you is built for where you’re going.
some people drain you.
some distract you.
some just don’t see the vision, and never will.
sometimes growth shows up wearing the face of discomfort.
but it’s still growth.
you don’t need noise.
you need alignment.
people who sharpen your mindset,
not soften your standards.
because if you’re constantly explaining your grind,
your goals,
your discipline,
you’re probably talking to the wrong crowd.
God doesn’t give you the people you want
He gives you the people you need.
the ones who challenge you.
who test your patience.
who teach you lessons you didn’t know you needed.
letting them go gets uncomfortable.
but the ones you can gain?
they’ll hold you to your standard, not bring you down to theirs.
you don’t need a big circle.
you need a real one.
a few who see your potential even when you're tired.
a few who tell you the truth, not just what sounds good.
a few who push, protect, and pull with you.
if you’ve been feeling out of place
maybe that’s the sign you’ve outgrown the room.
stay locked in.
find your people.
and never lower your standard.
