read this if you feel stuck right now

where you are isn’t permanent—but it’s on you to move.

In partnership with

nobody’s coming to save you.
and that’s not a bad thing.

because if it’s on you to get to where you want to be,
then it’s also in your control to change it.

there was a point in my life where i felt stuck.
like no matter what i did,
i couldn’t get traction.

i was working hard—but i wasn’t moving.
and it wasn’t until i stopped blaming everything else
and started looking inward
that things actually shifted.

here’s what changed for me:

1. it’s on you.

nobody cares about your dreams the way you do.
and that’s exactly why you can’t wait for someone to pull you up.
you’ve got to climb.

because the hard truth is:
if you don’t bet on you,
nobody else will.

think of it as a game and you’re playing you’re own character…

no one else is handling the controller but you. unless you do this and do that for you; nothing is going to happen for you unless you have it made.

i grew up with no one really focused on my development, i didn’t grow up in a great area either, so i guess you can say i had a rough start to begin with.

why would i let that effect my future? i don’t care what happens in my life, if i need to do something about anything, i will.

and what i can’t control, is in God’s control.

2. your mindset is everything.

you can’t win if you’re telling yourself you’re losing.
i had to choose—
focus on everything holding me back,
or double down on what could move me forward.

positivity isn’t fake.
it’s fuel.
because when you believe you can figure it out,
you start acting like it.

all the negativity you walk with, throw it out the window cause it lingers.

energy is real, you think negative; negative things will happen.
you think positive; positive things will happen.

it’s not always the case because God is in control and things happen for a reason, but it’s better to have positive energy linger than negative.

3. boundaries aren’t selfish.

if you don’t learn to say “no,”
you’ll drown saying “yes” to everyone else.

protect your time.
protect your focus.
and don’t apologize for it.

you’re always going to need time for yourself.
time to learn. time to practice. time to take action. time to rest.

you and your dreams matter, don’t let anyone take that from you.

“You have to protect your time like it’s your life—

because it is.”

— Kobe Bryant

4. cut the chaos.

you can’t build peace surrounded by dysfunction.
this one hurt the most—
realizing some people i loved couldn’t stay in my life.
but you can’t grow in soil that keeps pulling you under.

distance doesn’t mean hate.
it means self-respect.

because if you don’t respect yourself, you’ll never truly live your life to the fullest.

some people like to take advantage of your time and your energy and you have to watch closely for those. if you have some doubt about the people you hang around ask them questions like:

what are your goals in life?

are you doing anything to get there?

see if they make excuses and you’ll be able to find out.
be respectful and keep it to yourself.

5. let go of who you’ve outgrown.

this one’s quiet.
it doesn’t come with fights or drama.
just a moment where you realize you’re not who you used to be.

and that’s okay.
you’re supposed to grow.
don’t shrink yourself just to fit back into old spaces.

it sucks, but if you tried and tried and tried again to help these people….

there’s only so much you can do for them. remember, they are in control of their controller, you don’t need to play for them 24/7.

cut down time respectfully and have them understand why.

if this feels heavy,
good.
growth usually does.

but here’s what’s on the other side:
clarity.
momentum.
freedom.

and it all starts with one choice:
to stop waiting and start moving.
